2016 – Rewind And Re-View

2016. We’ll not dwell on what an awful year it was. Suffice to say there was a lot happening in the movie world, some of it bad, some of it rather wonderful. Here is Electric Shadows’ take on the year in film.

As is customary, we’ll begin with…

Batman-v-Superman---Podcast-lead-image

OfAllTheFilmSites.com editor Rob Wallis and myself begun The Electric Shadows’ podcast this year. Oh 2016, you terrible year. What general miserableness was foisted upon us these past 12 months. Mid-Year Movie Rundown – The Electric Shadows Podcast

We’re almost at the end of June, so what better time to take stock of 2016 in film. And forgive us for saying so, but we believe this is a bumper year for movies. The Witch, Creed, The Hateful Eight, Room, Spotlight, The Big Short, Captain America: Civil War, Green Room, 10 Cloverfield Lane, Bone Tomahawk, When Marnie Was There. A good Top 10 of the year could be made from the first 6 months.

So, join Rob Daniel & Rob Wallis as the go boldly through The Good, The Bad and The Middling of 2016 so far.  And note this was recorded before the tragic death of Anton Yelchin, which is why our Green Room discussion refers to him in the present tense. RIP Anton.
