#10 – The Dragon shows his claws (Marlowe – 1969)

Why Lee-mendous? Lee’s big screen debut in a Western movie is also the only time he played a bad guy.

As intimidating muscle Winslow Wong, he attempts to bribe James Garner’s gumshoe into dropping the case. When this fails, Lee trashes Garner’s office with kung-fu chops and a spectacular high kick taking out an overhead light.

While undeniably camp (not helped by a shocked male hairdresser next door), the scene is fascinating for Lee’s shrieks and screams, prototypes of the trademark bird squawks that would become his war cry.

Interesting-Lee: Along with Enter the Dragon, this is the only time Lee’s natural voice is heard in a feature film.
